Kristin and Lance

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet and photograph a very sweet couple, Kristin and Lance, over the weekend. Though the day was sunny, it was cool and very breezy. Kristin braved through it and was all smiles. They brought their precious little dog Bolt along as an observer. He is their baby (and adorable), so we had to get him in a few shots too.

Spring Is Here

I am not a cold weather person, so I spend the winter longing for warm temperatures. This year, however, I am a little disappointed in our very early spring weather. It is not unusual for us to have snow in March here in North Carolina. Many of our biggest snows (6 inches or more), have been in March. It was so strange to see the daffodils and cherry trees blooming in late February. As much as I love the warm weather, I'm worried that this means our summer will be brutally hot! I guess there is still a chance for a cool down.

Here are a few of my favorite spring images.

Happy spring!

Etsy Favorites

I have had a shop on Etsy.com for a while now. I wish I could say there had been more sales, but I have still enjoyed having the shop and hope to add more photography this spring and summer. Etsy is such a fun place to browse for all kinds of things from jewelry to art, textiles, candles, stationery, photography and more. Over time I have found such cool shops and talented people. I wanted to share a few of my favorite shops. There are so many it is hard to pick!
Alicia Bock
There are so many talented photographers on Etsy.com. Alicia Bock is one of my favorites, because she can take the simplest objects, like a chair, light fixture or reflection on water, and make it into a beautiful picture. I especially love her shots of water & beaches.

Eye Poetry
Irene Suchoki has the shop Eye Poetry and she has awesome photos of Paris, Venice and New York. She creates interest with just the right blur in her photos.
Gemini Studio
Gemini Studio has the best sign art. They have dogs, cats and other animals and the artwork is really cool. They have a vintage style with faded type and grunge backgrounds.

Amber Alexander
I am also a big fan of Amber Alexander's watercolors. She paints animals, flowers, landscapes and more. I really love her birds and bunnies. So cute!
