Spring Break Mountain Trip

This was our Spring Break week, and since we did not have a trip planned we decided to at least make a day trip to the mountains. We have been all over the NC Mountains, but I have never been to see the Linville Falls. I am a huge fan of waterfalls and there are some beautiful ones in our mountains. We lucked out on the weather and had a gorgeous day with that Carolina blue sky. There is quite a lot of hiking involved to see the falls from various views, but worth the climb. I enjoy walking through the woods and seeing the sun coming through the trees, creating an almost blinding light as it reflects off the some of the leaves. Listening to the sound of the water rushing and the birds flying above was so peaceful. We are so fortunate to live in a state with such beautiful mountains.

Kristin and Lance

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet and photograph a very sweet couple, Kristin and Lance, over the weekend. Though the day was sunny, it was cool and very breezy. Kristin braved through it and was all smiles. They brought their precious little dog Bolt along as an observer. He is their baby (and adorable), so we had to get him in a few shots too.
